Château du

Introducing Château du Coudreceau

An exclusive use private golf estate
in France's Loire Valley

Dear Travel Partners,

Your own private XVIII century château in the Loire Valley, your own private golf course on 200 acres of country bliss, your own top notch, English speaking staff to look after your every need and a range of luxury experiences to suit the most demanding tastes. Do I have your attention yet? We have been asked to represent châteaux in France before but never thought the proposition was “just right.”
Château du Coudreceau ticked all the right boxes for us. The château has been renovated to the standards that would be in line with the most affluent travelers, the location is most convenient to historical and cultural sightseeing, exceptional wine experiences, culinary experiences and a private airport just 15 minutes away. And then there’s the golf. For couples or a small social group that want the exclusivity of their own course, it doesn’t come any more luxe than Château du Coudreceau.
We at Waterstone are smitten with this château, from the meals prepared by its award winning team to the spa treatments on hand to soothe your back after a round or two of golf, not to mention the wine cellar to quench your thirst and single malts to enjoy while strolling the manicured grounds. For your special clients seeking exclusivity in a truly luxurious château country estate, just 90 minutes from Paris… have found just the place.
Please make sure to click on the links at the bottom of this email to see just how special Château du Coudreceau really is and please don't hesitate to send any questions my way.

All the best,

Since it was built in 1775, Château du Coudreceau has hosted many generations of discerning guests. Centuries later, in 2013, the Williams family undertook a full renovation of the Château, creating a world-class golf course meticulously intertwined through the property's  200 acres. Where possible, the Château’s original historical features have been retained, blending classic French 18th century design with luxurious modern amenities. The Williams family enjoyed the Château as their own private vacation home until very recently deciding to share the property with groups looking for a unique French experience. The estate, 90 minutes south of Paris by car, is also accessible from a nearby private executive airport.

No members, no tee times and no restrictions - these are just a few of the benefits Château du Coudreceau's 14-hole private golf course allows. Golf enthusiasts should know this world-class, championship quality golf course was designed with consultation and guidance from Hawtree Designs, The Arnold Palmer Design Company and Paul McGinley Designs; each hole is perfectly crafted within the landscape and allows golfers to experience the perfect mix of risk and reward without distraction. Caddies, carts and golf instruction can easily be arranged. Of course, golf doesn't always have to mean a full round. With the estate's outdoor putting green and indoor golf simulator, guests won't ever have to put their clubs down.

Inside the Château
7 guest suites allow for 14 guests (in double room configuration) to take over the Château. Each suite pays homage to its French heritage through carefully selected French fabrics and decor; the interior design comes together to create a truly elegant ambiance. Guests can maintain their fitness routine in the fully equipped gym and fitness studio, or escape to the indoor pool to unwind. In-house massages and spa treatments can also be easily arranged. There are plenty of areas for the group to convene in comfort, including in the "players lounge" and multiple other living rooms.

Wine & Cuisine
Each meal is prepared by the estate's award winning private chefs, who create bespoke menus based on the desires of the group. Meals can be enjoyed in the Château's magnificent banqueting rooms, under the stars in the Jardin du Lac, in the form of a picnic on the grounds of the estate - wherever the guests wish to dine. Cooking demonstrations can also be arranged on-property with the estate's Executive Head Chef. Château du Coudreceau's 250 year old wine cellar offers a selection of exquisite wines that are the perfect complement to the delicious cuisine. An in-house wine tasting experience and/or private wine tours - in the Sancerre region, for example - can absolutely be arranged.
