La Biennale di Venezia is famous for exhibiting works of contemporary art, architecture, dance, film and theater. Its most prestigious event, held every two years and currently celebrating its 58th showing, is the International Art Exhibition which focuses on contemporary art linked by a common theme. This year, the theme is "May You Live in Interesting Times" and the show runs now through November 24, 2019. While the main Biennale-related exhibitions can be found at "The Giardini" or "The Arsenale", there are also events and various works to be seen throughout the city. In fact, Sina Centurion Palace was chosen to host one of the show's installations.
On the hotel terrace facing out over the Grand Canal, guests will find “Bleu de Chine”, a sculpture created by Italo-French artist Bruno Catalano (pictured far left with General Manager Paolo Morra and gallerists Chiara and Carlo Ravagnan). Part of a series titled "Les Voyageurs", Catalano's exhibition will be spread out over 5 carefuly chosen venues between San Marco and Dorsoduro including the Church of San Gallo, the Goldoni Theatre and of course the Sina Centurion Palace. In addition to “Bleu de Chine” on the terrace, another two of the "Les Voyageurs" sculptures are on display inside the hotel.
