Dear *|FIRSTNAME|*,
It is with great enthusiasm that I announce that Ashley Smith has been appointed Director of Sales at Waterstone, effective immediately.
Ashley brings to Waterstone a blue-chip background, extensive experience in the luxury hotel industry and a passion for the craft of hospitality. Working with some of our industry’s top tier hospitality companies has allowed Ashley to build meaningful relationships with luxury travel advisors across North America, making sure to ultimately support them and improve their clients’ travel experiences.
From an education perspective, Ashley graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in both Communications and International Studies from Fairfield University in Connecticut. A semester abroad in Florence had her falling in love with this city. She then went on to earn a Graduate Certificate of Business as a Hospitality Management Major from the University of Queensland in Australia.
Ashley began her career at the iconic Carlyle Hotel – a Rosewood Hotel in New York – where she developed an understanding of the North American luxury market and learned how important it is to continuously deliver flawless service. She was quickly promoted within Rosewood through several sales and marketing roles at Rosewood Bermuda and Rosewood Little Dix Bay, where she planned and executed numerous sales missions and client events across leisure, group and wholesale segments. In recognition of her success, Ashley was ultimately promoted to Associate Director of Sales and Marketing for Jumby Bay Island, a position she held for over 6 years.
More recently, Ashley managed the seamless transition of Jumby Bay’s hotel management agreement to the Oetker Collection where she was entrusted with additional management duties including sales responsibility for international markets. Before joining Waterstone, Ashley headed up sales for Caldera House, an ultra luxury boutique hotel in Jackson Hole, Wyoming.
Ashley brings to Waterstone and our prestigious portfolio of clients, a proven record of driving business, elevating service standards and a boundless enthusiasm for our travel community. A world traveler herself, Ashley shares our Waterstone ethos, one that celebrates travel advisors’ craft of “making dreams come true” and respects their vital role in our industry.
Ashley will work from her office in New York City while visiting our Mendham office regularly. Her email is live at Ashley@waterstonemarketing.com and we encourage you to reach out to her and say hello. Lynne Partridge, our Vice President, and the entire Waterstone team are absolutely thrilled to welcome Ashley and are confident that she will make a very significant impact on our company.
Thank you in advance for welcoming Ashley,
