THE MALL SANREMO'S HUGO BASIL
Ingredients (for the basil syrup):
2 oz Fresh Basil Leaves / ¾ cup Sugar / 6 oz Water
Ingredients (for the cocktail):
20 oz Prosecco / 3 oz Sparkling water / 1 Lime
Basil Leaves (to garnish)
Instructions:
• Wash the basil leaves and blot dry with a paper towel
• Heat the water, sugar & basil leaves in a pan and mix
• As the liquid begins to boil, lower the flame and simmer
• After 2 minutes, remove from the heat and let cool
• Strain the syrup into a container and refrigerate
• Pour the Prosecco and sparkling water into a pitcher
• Add the basil syrup, stir, and refrigerate for 1 hour
• Pour into a glass and garnish with lime and basil
