Dear Travel Partners,

We've got Peru on our minds. After recently hosting an educational trip to the country, we're eager to share our experience and Peru-related updates with you. A true bucket list destination, we hear of more and more clients wanting to explore Peru each year; and while this is a trend we love to see, we know Peru can be an overwhelming destination to plan. For this reason you need in-destination go-to partners that you can steadfastly rely on, which is what you get with
Metropolitan Touring Peru and the Country Club Lima Hotel. Lima is the best place to begin or end a Peruvian itinerary, and the Country Club Lima Hotel is the best at ensuring your clients are properly welcomed and personally attended to. And attending to every other detail through a customized itinerary based on your clients' desires, is Metropolitan Touring Peru.

Best wishes,

Peru, one of the most popular destinations in South America, can now be checked off my bucket list thanks to a recent 10-day education trip with Waterstone and Metropolitan Touring Peru. Our trip took us to Lima, Cusco, the Sacred Valley, Machu Picchu and Lake Titicaca; yet, thanks to excellent itinerary planning and timing, it never felt rushed despite several early-morning starts. Flying Friday and staying over two weekends as we did, is an itinerary I would recommend for clients with limited vacation time, in order to see as much as possible.“ --Michelle Weiss, Lake Shore Travel

We recently hosted a wonderful Peruvian fam with Metropolitan Touring Peru and the Country Club Lima Hotel, two of our fantastic South American members. Michelle Weiss, luxury travel advisor at Lake Shore Travel, was a participant on this fam and she was kind enough to write about her experience for Luxury Travel Advisor Magazine's "Just Back" column. Michelle highlights the many and unique experiences we had courtesy of Metropolitan Touring and recalls the various hotels we visited along the way, focusing mainly on the "beautiful, hacienda-style" Country Club Lima Hotel. We invite you to read about our journey in the article linked below and we thank Michelle for taking the time to share her perspective!

Update: Belmond Andean Explorer Train

In addition to Belmond's well-known "Hiram Bingham" train that transports travelers in luxury to Machu Picchu, the company also offers the option of traveling via their "Andean Explorer", South America's first luxury sleeper train. Traveling one of the highest train routes in the world, the Andean Explorer crosses through breathtaking cities on its way from Cusco to Lake Titicaca (Puno) and Arequipa, and explores natural wonders and ancient kingdoms on one and two-night trips. Inside the train, there are 4 different types of cars (dining, observatory, spa, and lounge), and starting in 2019, Andean Explorer has changed its cabin distribution to offer 3 different types of suites (Bunk Bed Cabin, Twin Bed Cabin, and Deluxe Double Bed Cabin).
