Dear *|FIRSTNAME|*, It's time to play at the new K Club in Ireland.

Dear *|FIRSTNAME|*,

We are proud to present this next issue in our series focusing on the people, culture and communities that make up our diverse Waterstone Collection. Throughout the series we will continue to introduce you to people who are passionate ambassadors for their local cultures and communities. In this edition we focus on the General Manager of The K Club, Paul Heery. Below, Paul brings to life the magic of the iconic K Club and details all that's new on property.

"The K Club is entering a new and very exciting chapter in its history; with new ownership and management, new love and energy is being invested in the property. Every element of the guests experience is being considered. Ultimately we want our guests to have fun from the moment they enter the gates!

 Paul Heery
General Manager, The K Club

“Time to play”, The K Club’s new slogan, perfectly reflects their team’s mission to provide guests with a fun and relaxed luxury experience. Here, success is measured by the clinking of glasses among friends, the joyful grins of happy children, the laughs shared between couples, the roars of “sláinte” coming from the bar after a round of golf – any sign that your clients are comfortably enjoying their time at the resort reassures The K Club that their most important goal is being met. With all the different and carefully thought-out experience, accommodation, and dining options, it seems impossible for anyone not to enjoy a stay at The K Club.

Tucked away on 550 acres in the lush Kildare countryside yet still on Dublin’s doorstep, the 5-star K Club has so much to offer as one of Ireland’s top golf and spa resorts. The resort combines old-school Irish charm and modern facilities, with the new owner committed to giving the property a fresh, new look. In fact, a lot of progress has already been made toward achieving this goal, with new restaurants, bars and lodges having been recently debuted. The rooms will also be refurbished (20 have already been completed) and a large investment has been made into improving the two already award-winning championship golf courses.

Guests will find an exciting array of activities awaiting them at The K Club:

  • Explore the resort’s trails and gardens on foot, bike, horseback or Segway
  • Engage in authentic Irish pastimes such as falconry, clay pigeon shooting, air rifle shooting or archery
  • Paddleboard along the River Liffey which flows right through the property or try your hand at fly fishing from the river’s shore
  • Embark on a historical house tour around the resort or taste their impressive collection of wine and whiskey

Here there is something for everyone, and for parents looking to spend some alone time at the world class K Spa, they can drop their kids off at the ‘Junior Einsteins Science Club’ where they will learn hands-on, interactive science with an instructor.

Of course, guests can also choose to spend all their time at The K Club golfing, which many do. Between the two Arnold Palmer designed championship courses, lovers of the sport are sure to find themselves in a golfers’ heaven. To further appeal to golf aficionados, The K Club has recently debuted ‘K Golf World’ which is a sports bar with multiple golf simulators and an indoor putting green to top it all off. Besides allowing you to ‘play’ on any course in the world, the golf simulators use innovative technology specifically designed to help you understand and improve your golf swing.

A seemingly common theme at The K Club, guests are spoiled for choice when it comes to dining options as well. There is the Barton Restaurant, The Straffan Inn, The Henry Lounge, The Blue Martini Cocktail Bar and most notably as it is brand new to the property, The Palmer, where modern comfort food is served all day from a cozy terrace complete with fire pits, a retractable roof and roll-down glass panels. In March 2022 another new, casual restaurant will open, this one with a focus on families.

There are a few different types of accommodations at The K Club. First there are the 125 rooms and suites in the main building – 20 of which are connecting rooms and 3 of which are family suites. Then there is Straffan House, a 10-bedroom mansion that sits on the estate and comes with private staffing including a butler, chef and airport transfers. New to the property is The Palmer Lodge which is another private house on the estate. Completely refurbished with 4 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, a spacious lounge, a dining area and a complete kitchen, The Palmer Lodge is ideal for groups looking for their own private space while still enjoying all the perks that come with staying at The K Club. In spring of 2022, The Straffan Lodge will also make its debut as a completely renovated 3-bedroom private house.
