As I write this, I’m sitting on my dock in the South Carolina Lowcountry, soaking up the warmth — and, let’s be honest, the humidity — of an August afternoon down here. It’s the kind of slow-moving day that makes you sit still (to keep from sweating) and think about where to go next — preferably, someplace cooler.
