WHAT taCONNECT IS

taCONNECT is a business CRM and contact-management platform owned by Travel Relations LLC ("TR"), similar in role to other sales CRMs. Each client company receives its own secured taCONNECT account and uploads its own company contacts for its business development managers and sales team to use.

A core service is contact updating. TR operates forms in the market that let a business contact complete or correct professional details (about 30 data points on who they are, where they do business, and sales specialties). Completing a TR/client form is the opt-in to the TR services described below; the form does not contain separate opt-in or opt-out choices for individual TR services. When taCONNECT captures an updated data point for a person who already exists in a client's secured taCONNECT database, TR makes that update available for the client to download into that existing record. An update is not used to add a contact to a client database where that contact does not already exist. After submit, a contact is added to TR Marketing Services and to InsiderTravelReport (B2B travel news) and may unsubscribe later from those emails.

INFORMATION GATHERED

taRewards.com Supplier Monthly Reward Sweepstakes 
By selecting a reward and entering your information, you are opting into the reward sponsor's travel advisor database. Your detailed profile information will allow the reward sponsor to offer you more relevant information/rewards/incentives/specials based on "who you are" and "what you sell". This is intended to reduce general spam and non-relevant messages from partner travel companies and destinations.

taRewards.com Supplier Reward Program 
By opting into a Supplier Reward Program and entering your information, you are opting into the Supplier's database. All reported booking data you enter for "Rewards" offered in the Supplier Reward Program also become property of the Supplier of the Reward Program you opted into. This information will be used by the Supplier to deliver you Rewards and special promotional privileges.

Travel Relations LLC ("TR") publishes this Privacy Policy & Terms to inform you of our practices concerning the collection and use of information you provide us through interactions with this website. It also informs you of the practice in which we manage Partner Supplier and Destination travel advisor databases.

HOW WE COLLECT INFORMATION
TR collects travel advisor contact information in a variety of ways:

1. When you register with TR on this website, subscribe to TR services, use TR products or services via the website, or enter Internet-based Rewards, Promotions or Sweepstakes sponsored or administered by TR and its Partners.
    
2. TR also manages and updates Partner Supplier and Destination travel advisor databases inside each client's secured taCONNECT account. If your information is in a client's database, that client previously collected it (for example at trade shows, training/rewards programs, webinars/seminars, trade advertising, selling their service, or working with their BDMs) and uploaded it to their taCONNECT CRM.
    
   Some of this contact data may be displayed for you to review and update on this website or other TR/client forms. Completing the form (approximately 30 data points) is how you opt into the TR services described under "USE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION." The form does not contain separate opt-in or opt-out choices for individual TR services. Once you update your contact data, we pass the updates to a Partner Supplier or Destination ONLY IF you ALREADY EXIST on that Supplier/Destination travel advisor database. The client may then download the update into the record it already holds.
    
3. Each time you "select to enter" to win a Supplier/Destination Reward and you "confirm your contact data", you opt-in to the Supplier/Destination travel advisor database. At any time you have the option to remove yourself by contacting the Supplier/Destination directly or by emailing support@travelrelations.com

USE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

If you elect to provide us personal information, we use it primarily to deliver the service you requested. Completing a TR/client form makes you a "submitted" contact. A submitted contact is added to TR's Marketing Services database and to InsiderTravelReport (B2B travel news). You may unsubscribe at any time from Marketing Services promotional email and from InsiderTravelReport. TR may use personal information in a variety of ways including the following:

• To make a downloadable update available to a client that already has you in its secured taCONNECT CRM.
   
• TR may use personal information collected through its website to send targeted email promotions on behalf of its advertisers and industry partners.
   
• TR may combine information about you that we have with information we obtain from business partners or other companies in order to better deliver products and services that may be of professional interest.
   
• TR may use personal information to send notification of TR's or our partners' products and services by email and/or postal mail.
   
• If you participate in a TR educational program or other time-sensitive programs, we use personal information to contact you to remind you of upcoming deadlines or additional information concerning these programs.
   
• TR offers numerous products and services and therefore numerous email and promotion lists. All email promotions sent from TR provide an opt-out link at the bottom of the email. You may unsubscribe from Marketing Services promotional email or from InsiderTravelReport by using that link or by contacting support@travelrelations.com.

We will not use submitted contact information for new purposes that are incompatible with this policy. If our information practices change in a material way we will post the policy changes to our website and update the date above. Where law requires additional notice or a new choice, we will provide it.

Where GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we rely on one or more of: performance of a contract or pre-contract steps; compliance with a legal obligation (including CAN-SPAM and CASL recordkeeping); legitimate interests in maintaining accurate B2B CRM records and operating the update network; and consent where we ask for it (including certain electronic marketing and non-essential cookies). You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting prior lawful processing.

SHARING OF PERSONAL INFORMATION WITH THIRD PARTIES

TR does not rent mailing lists as a standalone product. TR may disclose personal information in the following circumstances:

• To the client whose secured taCONNECT database already contains your record, as a downloadable update, and to other TR clients only if you already exist on their taCONNECT databases.
   
• To service providers and vendors that process information for TR under contract (hosting on Amazon Web Services in us-east, Virginia; email delivery; analytics; and support). These companies do not have an independent right to use or share this information for their own marketing.
   
• When you register for an educational program, contest, event, virtual seminar/tradeshow, or other promotion that is sponsored by a third party, the third party will be provided personal information unless otherwise posted in connection with the promotion.
   
• When required by law, legal process, or a good-faith belief that disclosure is necessary to investigate or prevent illegal activity, suspected fraud, threats to safety, or violations of TR's terms of use, or to establish or defend legal claims.
   
• If TR is acquired by or merged with another company, we may transfer information about you in connection with the acquisition or merger, and will require the successor to use it consistently with this policy, subject to applicable law.
   
• If you are a "submitted" contact, TR may share limited professional information such as email address, company name, job title and state or country of business with trusted third parties who deliver content likely to be of professional interest. Under some U.S. state laws this may be treated as a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. See rights below to opt out.

COOKIES

"Cookies" are small files stored by your browser. TR, clients, and service providers may use cookies and similar technologies to operate the site, remember form progress, measure visits, diagnose problems, and understand which pages are used. Some cookies are necessary for the site to function. Optional cookies, if used for advertising or additional analytics, will be used only where permitted by law, including after consent where required in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland. You can refuse or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you refuse cookies, some features may not work as intended.

IP ADDRESSES

TR automatically receives and records information on server logs from your browser, including your IP address, cookie identifiers, browser type, referring URL, and the page you request. TR uses this information to diagnose server problems, administer the system, protect against abuse, review traffic in aggregate, and improve site content and layout.

RETENTION

Business contact records are kept for as long as needed to maintain accurate client CRM records, honor opt-outs (suppression lists are retained so we do not email you again), resolve disputes, and meet legal, tax, and accounting requirements. When a record is no longer needed, it is deleted or de-identified, subject to backup cycles.

INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS

TR is based in Southport, North Carolina, United States. taCONNECT is hosted on Amazon Web Services in us-east (Virginia), United States. TR is not certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, or the UK Extension to the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. If you are in the EEA, United Kingdom, Switzerland, or another country with transfer restrictions, your information may be processed in the United States. Where those laws require a transfer tool, TR relies on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (and the UK International Data Transfer Addendum and Swiss-approved modules, as applicable), plus supplementary measures where needed. TR does not rely on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, and does not rely on the invalidated EU-U.S. Safe Harbor or Privacy Shield frameworks.

YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a portable copy of personal information; to object to or restrict certain processing; to withdraw consent; and to opt out of marketing. Marketing emails include an unsubscribe link. You may also email support@travelrelations.com with the subject "Privacy Request."

Europe (EEA, UK, Switzerland): You may lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests and withdraw consent for electronic marketing at any time.

Canada: You may withdraw consent to commercial electronic messages under CASL by using the unsubscribe link or contacting us.

YOUR CALIFORNIA AND OTHER U.S. STATE PRIVACY RIGHTS

This website is intended for business-to-business use. Even so, California and other U.S. state privacy laws can still apply to business contact information.
 
California residents have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA, including the right to know, delete, correct, and opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information and certain targeted advertising. Residents of other states with similar laws may have comparable rights.
 
To submit a request, email support@travelrelations.com with the subject "Your State Privacy Rights." Shine the Light (Cal. Civ. Code § 1798.83) household-purpose requests may use the subject "Your California Privacy Rights." We will not discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights.

CHILDREN

This site is directed to travel-industry professionals and is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

DISCLAIMER

TR uses reasonable administrative, technical, and physical measures designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. TR is not responsible for the independent acts of third parties that receive information as described in this policy, except to the extent TR is required to be responsible under applicable law. TR also links to other sites and may display third-party advertising. Those parties' privacy practices are their own.

CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

TR may update this Privacy Policy by posting a revised version on this website and changing the "UPDATED AS OF" date. Material changes will be indicated on this page. Where law requires additional notice or a fresh choice, we will provide it.

taRewards offers promotions, contests, rewards or sweepstakes through which travel advisors can win prizes. These terms apply to all promotions, contests, sweepstakes, and rewards featured on this site. The Sponsor of a specific promotion may also have its own terms. In entering, the customer's name, email address, or other personal information will be collected to identify the customer and for notification purposes.

taRewards.com, its owner Travel Relations LLC, any site sponsors, partners, advertisers or other third parties connected with the site and their respective officers, directors, employees, agents and contractors are not liable arising from use of data provided by users through registration or use of the site, except for liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law. If a court of competent jurisdiction finds any provision unenforceable, the remainder shall continue in full force and effect. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, unless a mandatory consumer or data-protection law of your country applies instead. Courts located in North Carolina shall have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms, except where applicable law gives you the right to sue in your place of residence.
