Privacy Policy & Terms of Service:

UPDATED AS OF AUGUST 31, 2026

Information Displayed:

Many travel suppliers and destinations use taCONNECT, a business CRM and contact-management platform owned by Travel Relations LLC ("TR"). Each client company receives its own secured taCONNECT account and uploads and maintains its own company contacts so its business development managers and sales associates can work those relationships.

A core taCONNECT service is contact-data updating. TR operates forms in the market that let a business contact review and correct professional details. When taCONNECT captures an updated data point for a person who already exists in a client's secured taCONNECT database, TR makes that update available for that client to download into that existing record. Updates are not used to insert you into a client database where you do not already appear.

TR publishes this Privacy Policy & Terms to explain how information you provide through interactions with travel suppliers and this website is used. It also explains how TR manages supplier and destination ("client") business-contact databases. This policy does not apply to information gathered by other methods or controlled by other written agreements, except where those activities use the same taCONNECT records described here.

How TR Collects Your Information:

TR / taCONNECT organizes and updates the business contacts our clients already have on file. Clients collect that information in a variety of ways. If your information is in a client database and displayed for you on this website, it is because you have had some prior interaction with that client. Examples: trade shows, training or rewards programs, webinars and seminars, trade advertising, shared industry affiliations, selling or buying their products or services, and working with their Business Development Managers or Sales Associates.

The form requires about 30 data points covering who you are, where you do business, and your sales specialties. Categories include name, job title, company name, business email, business telephone, business postal address, country or state of business, industry segment or sales specialty, event or program participation, communication preferences, and source and date of the original business contact.

To support compliance with the United States CAN-SPAM Act, Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL), the EU/UK GDPR, and similar laws, taCONNECT records the "Original Source" and "Original Source Date" of business contacts added to a client database (including contacts added on or after June 1, 2018).

If your information appears on a form, it is because you already exist in that client's secured taCONNECT database. taCONNECT displays the record so you can review, correct, and submit it. When you submit, the corrected data is written back to taCONNECT and made available for that client to download into the record it already holds.

Completing and submitting a TR/client form is how you opt into the TR services described under "Use Of Your Personal Information." The form does not contain separate opt-in or opt-out choices for individual TR services. After you submit, you are added as a "submitted" contact to TR's Marketing Services database and to InsiderTravelReport (B2B travel news). You may unsubscribe at any time from Marketing Services promotional email and from InsiderTravelReport.

Use Of Your Personal Information:

If you provide an updated contact profile, it is used to keep the relevant client's existing taCONNECT record accurate and, because completing the form is the opt-in, to enroll you in TR Marketing Services and InsiderTravelReport. Uses include:

  • Your updated contact data is passed to the client whose form or link you used, and offered as a downloadable update to the record that client already holds. If that client emails you from its taCONNECT platform, the message will include an unsubscribe link in the footer.
  • The same update may also be offered as a downloadable correction to any other TR client that already has you in its own secured taCONNECT database. taCONNECT does not place you into a client database where you do not already exist. Those clients' emails from taCONNECT also include an unsubscribe link.
  • A "submitted" contact is added to TR Marketing Services and InsiderTravelReport. TR may send targeted email and/or postal mail of promotions, surveys, or updates that match your professional profile, on behalf of advertisers and industry partners; contact you about educational, rewards, or other time-sensitive programs; and send InsiderTravelReport curated to your profile and sales specialty. You may unsubscribe at any time from Marketing Services promotional email and from InsiderTravelReport. Every email in this network has an unsubscribe link in the footer.

TR also uses information to operate and secure the website and databases, diagnose technical problems, measure aggregate traffic, comply with law, prevent fraud or misuse, and establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

Where GDPR or UK GDPR applies, TR relies on one or more of: performance of a contract or pre-contract steps; compliance with a legal obligation (including CAN-SPAM and CASL recordkeeping); legitimate interests in maintaining accurate B2B records, operating a contact-management platform, and sending relevant industry communications that you can opt out of; and consent where we ask for it (including certain electronic marketing and non-essential cookies). You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting prior lawful processing.

We will not use submitted contact information for new purposes that are incompatible with this policy. If practices change in a material way, we will update this page and change the date above. Where law requires additional notice or a new choice, we will provide it.

Sharing Of Personal Information With Third Parties:

TR does not rent mailing lists as a standalone product. TR may disclose personal information:

To the client whose form or link you used, and to other TR clients on whose taCONNECT database you already appear, as described in this policy.

To service providers and vendors that process information for TR under contract (hosting, email delivery, analytics, and support). Those parties may use the information only to perform services for TR and the applicable client, not for their own unrelated marketing. Current core vendors are listed on the taCONNECT security notice.

When you register for an educational program, contest, event, virtual seminar or tradeshow, or other promotion sponsored by a third party, unless a different notice is posted for that promotion.

When required by law, legal process, or a good-faith belief that disclosure is necessary to investigate or prevent illegal activity, suspected fraud, threats to safety, or violations of these terms, or to establish or defend legal claims.

If TR is acquired by or merged with another company, information about you may transfer as part of that transaction. We will require the successor to use it consistently with this policy, subject to applicable law.

If you are a "submitted" contact, TR may share limited professional details such as email address, company name, job title, and state or country of business with trusted partners who deliver industry content likely to be relevant to your role. Those communications include an opt-out. Under some U.S. state laws this may be treated as a "sale" or "sharing." See rights below to opt out.

Cookies:

"Cookies" are small files stored by your browser. TR, clients, and service providers may use cookies and similar technologies to operate the site, remember form progress, measure visits, diagnose problems, and understand which pages are used. Some cookies are necessary. Optional analytics or advertising cookies are used only where permitted, including after consent where required in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland. You can refuse cookies in your browser; some features may not work as intended.

IP Address:

TR automatically receives and records server logs from your browser, including IP address, cookie identifiers, browser type, referring URL, and the page requested, to diagnose problems, administer the system, protect against abuse, review traffic in aggregate, and improve content.

Retention:

Business contact records are kept as long as needed to maintain accurate client CRM records, honor opt-outs (suppression lists are retained), resolve disputes, and meet legal, tax, and accounting requirements. When no longer needed, records are deleted or de-identified, subject to backup cycles.

International Transfers:

TR is based in Southport, North Carolina, United States. taCONNECT is hosted on Amazon Web Services in us-east (Virginia), United States. TR is not certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, or the UK Extension. Information may be processed in the United States. Where a transfer tool is required, TR relies on Standard Contractual Clauses and applicable UK/Swiss addenda, plus supplementary measures where needed.

Your Privacy Rights:

Depending on where you live, you may request access, correction, deletion, or a portable copy; object to or restrict certain processing; withdraw consent; and opt out of marketing. Use the unsubscribe link in any email footer or write support@travelrelations.com with the subject "Privacy Request."

Your Consent To This Policy:

By using this website you acknowledge this policy and the Terms below.
